The iconic luxury lingerie brand La Perla wanted to create a unique positioning within the beauty sector with their new subsidiary brand La Perla Beauty.

A working collaboration with my friends at Edge Retail (where I used to work!) and lead by head of visual merchandising from La Perla Beauty I was delighted to have a part in the conceptual process of designing the retail fixtures for all instore sites worldwide. The result, a visual tool kit to guide all future designs of La Perla Beauty retail sites to support the launch of their product range across the globe.

Launching La Perla Beauty to a new market and establishing a design language which maintained strong ties to the La Perla heritage was highly regarded and needed a sympathetic approach.

The world of beauty is a crowded and very competitive market, a strong retail presence was super important for the introduction of La Perla Beauty. Cutting through the noise to launch the brands own ambition required a deep understanding of their foundational values to be translated through to design.

The initial brief was to brainstorm different ways to express the brand story through shape, form and texture. By researching luxury retail spaces and taking inspiration from the key elements of the brand story, the creative direction was conceptually visualised with moodboards, sketches and 3D renders

The outcome, a beautifully designed retail system for the launch of La Perla Beauty that delivers on the prestige of it’s heritage in a modernized manner. Instant impact is created through the bold use of Verona green and draws your attention to the detailing of considered material choice and finishes.
